Be A Volunteer |

SeniorNet is an all volunteer organization dedicated to teaching seniors to use and improve their computers.
All instructors and administrators donate their time and expertise to accomplish the goal of SeniorNet.
Being an expert of computer skills is not a requirement for volunteering to work within SeniorNet.
Volunteers of all types are needed. If you have a working knowledge of a software program you could be valuable to the organization.
All instructional manuals and lesson plans are provided by SeniorNet to assist an instructor in the classroom.
Remember you probably know a lot more about the program and it’s use than the students. There hasn’t been a volunteer instructor that hasn’t indicated that they learned something when in front of the class.
Hours are variable.
Classes are scheduled in many cases just to fit an instructors free time.
There are other areas that volunteers can help on the administrative side.
They can duplicate manuals, assist others in registration, provide marketing and accounting knowledge, and day to day activities.
If you don’t feel comfortable taking charge of a class you can start by being a coach.
Coaches are provided in each class to assist students in following the instructors and the manuals. It is a good way to start and realize how easy it is to help a senior learn.
If you are interested drop us an e-mail at fhcomputer@gmail.com or call and leave a message on the SeniorNet phone 480-816-9645 and a volunteer will call you back.
Since we are all seniors and remember WWII the slogan “We Need You” applies.
